Albania Climate

Albania’s climate is mainly mild with abundant Mediterranean attributes. It’s characterised by the great deal of sunny weather it enjoys, rain only on the rare occasion breaking the predominantly fine patters of the summer season.

Albania’s mountainous regions receive the country’s largest levels of annual rainfall, especially during late autumn and early spring. Temperatures during summer can often soar to a sizzling 104°CF (40°C) dipping dramatically during the months of winter, especially at night when they plummet to bellow freezing point. The sea breeze keeps the Ionian coast slighter cooler during summer, with temperatures averaging around 73°F-86°F (25°C-30°C) while in the winter months it cools to 46°F-50°F (8°C-10°C).
